Our Story

Sarah, who runs Scarcity Estate Jewellery has been an enthusiastic collector since her now spouse told her to choose the design of an engagement ring without the parameters of a budget in mind.  There was of course a budget, but this led to her introduction to the world of jewellery design, gemology, antique and estate jewellery which has been a fascination ever since.  She has now collected pieces for close to two decades through purchase and design and manufacture.  It is her pleasure to now share some of these enthusiastically with you. 

Self-confessed to being opposed to any pain, her curation of some personal pieces has been in memory of some dear friends she has lost instead of reminders like a tattoo.  Sarah is a strong advocate of collecting pieces to reminisce our dearest souls and moments.  Her continued enjoyment of estate jewellery is that so often these creations have already had the honor of special reminders and places in hearts of the owner's before us.  Sarah marvels that all estate jewellery has a story, and now can be a chapter of your own.
